Heading to ISO SC 37 — Biometrics January 2024
I've joined the Standards Council of Canada's mirror committee for ISO SC 37 (Biometrics). My focus is on proving liveness and biometric matching for face and consumer-operated sensors. Excited to explore international interest at the upcoming January 2024 SC 37 plenary in Okayama.
Where do standards come from and how are they used for online services?
Standards ensure products and services meet needs, with criteria set by trade associations and regulatory bodies. They enable comparison and assess conformity, affecting everything from car brake lights to international trade and data security. Without standards, interoperability and quality assurance in our products and services would be compromised.
